Ken F. Miller
Ken was born in 1950 as the eldest son of Dan and Winnie Miller of Florence, Alabama. His brother, Larry, still lives in Florence and his sister, Jan lives in Fairhope, Alabama. All three were brought up in a loving, family centered, and God-fearing family life.
He was guided, trained, urged, and brought up in the Southern Baptist Denomination to become a pastor and was encouraged by his parents, Grandparents, Great Grandmother, the Church and State Convention.
After High School Graduation he had plans to enroll into Seminary but ended up getting married instead. As God would have it, his wife, being a Disciple of Christ in the Church of Christ, showed him the difference between Denominational and Scriptural Doctrines. This led Ken to becoming a Disciple of Christ and from 1970-1977 he went to Seminary and preached throughout South Alabama.
In 1977 tragedy struck his life when his employer was caught in some illegal business actions and since Ken had firsthand knowledge of it, he was given a choice to go to prison or into the military.
He spent the next 14 years in the military and left the military in 1990. During these trying years Ken got away from the Church but could not escape the Holy Spirit. (This was God’s way of chastising him and molding him into being the Christian he is today.)
In 1990 he married Virginia (Ginny) Galloway of Sumter, S.C., on 19 October 2025 they will have been married for 35 years. Ken knew he had to get back into church and get his life straight with God. Instead of going back to the Christian Church (a major mistake on his part) he went to the Baptist Denomination and for 33 years tried his best to please God but failed miserably. Throughout these years Ken taught Biblical training classes, Sunday School classes, leader of the brotherhood, sang in the choir and was considered for becoming a Deacon. After hearing for 33 years, “No Ken, you cannot teach this or that because it is not Baptist Doctrine”, he broke ties with the Baptist in 2023 and went back to the Christian Church and has been worshipping God at Cross Bridge Christian Church, Sumter, S.C. ever since.
However, Ken did keep his electronic files and hard copies of all his classes for over 50 years and compiled them into a study he called…The Big Picture, Understanding the Doctrine of Christ.
Ken has purposely and deliberately used as much of the Scripture as he could in explaining and defining certain thoughts and actions of the Apostles in presentation of God’s Word. Also, he has done the best he could to leave out his opinion as this would have taken away from what God intended to say in His Doctrine.
