Here are some scriptures that leads us to “the most important verse of the Bible”.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV)

All things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do

12  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

13  Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Hebrews 4:12-13 (KJV)

Fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

14  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

 Ecclesiastes 12:13-14(KJV)

Be careful how you present the Word of God

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:18-19 (KJV)

Before we look at this verse let me say up front that there may be someone that will instantly jump up and say “Ken, you’re wrong!”. However, if you would bear with me for just a few minutes more you would agree with me instead of disagreeing. Those of you who know me, know that I believe and teach that we must look at the “Big Picture” of God’s Word and not “cherry pick” it. In keeping with this thought and belief let’s start at the beginning.

From these scriptures can you make a so called “educated guess” as to what scripture they are referring to?  (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12-13, Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, and Revelation 22:18-19)

The most important verse in the Bible

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 1:1 (KJV)

“In the beginning God”…This was not God the Father all by himself, instead, “God” here refers to the Trinity (God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) “created the heaven and the earth”…here is the most important verse of the Bible. Why? Very simply put, it is because God spoke and the heavens and earth suddenly appeared. In your wildest dreams can you imagine what kind of power this is? In all my life of 75 years I have seen many explosions, several demonstrations of extremely powerful machines performing amazing work, even the power of what raw electrical current can do to an industrial fuse box, but I can’t even imagine what kind of power it would take to create this world much less the universe.

If God’s Word can do this then what could it possibly do to a human being?

I have written several study classes answering this question and many more questions that come up. These study guides are free just click on contact us and request them.

All future studies will reflect the “Big Picture” of God’s plan for our life and salvation.
